Emmanuel is a business intelligence consultant, researcher, and a 4th-year PhD candidate at York University, focusing on the political economy of development in the extractive sector, energy politics, and climate change in Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa. Some of his works have detailed the role of civil society in escaping the resource curse in Ghana, oil exploration and production in sub-Saharan Africa, and energy policy. His thesis is on resource nationalism in Africa (Ghana).
