Zerihun A. Kinate is a PhD student in political science and public policy at the University of Toronto. His research interests include the political economy of conflicts, political violence and political settlement, collective action, the development-security nexus, the politics of knowledge production and policy making in the global south, and the geopolitics of the Horn of Africa. Zerihun is the recipient of the 2023 Recognition of Academic Excellence Award from the Black and Indigenous Research Network.
