A deal between Sudan’s pro-democracy forces and the military government in Khartoum has been delayed. The agreement is expected to guide the country back to civilian rule. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) is a powerful paramilitary unit that has so far stalled agreement by requesting a much longer transition period.
