Sam Matekane was sworn in as the new President of Lesotho after winning elections last month. Matekane made a fortune in the diamond industry and is a relative newcomer to politics, having formed his political party just six months before the October elections. - Antigua Airlines is launching the first commercial flights between Africa and the Caribbean. The airline will offer regular flights from Antigua to Accra and Lagos (as well as Toronto). The inaugural flight from the new airline takes off on November 7 for Lagos.
